We are in the Hosting business since 1995. We started with 1 Linux server to host some of our private sites. After some weeks we started our main site, LuxHosting.lu. We started to receive some orders and this make us problems to manage the server with more sites. So we buy a Cobalt RAQ2, some weeks later a Cobalt RAQ3, a real race horse ... Our business started!
This always a pain for us, when a client is not happy with our services. We do our very best efforts to make our services run 24h/24 and 7d/7. But problems happen, think about Murphy's law. If something sould not happen, it happen... So yes, if a client ask us a refund, there is a 30 days money back guarantee.
This can be done. CPanel have a package for demo sites, but you will not be able to put your site on it. It's only there to show you our fantasitic Control Panel and all the features.
We did this until some years ago. The problem is that we received more and more orders from spammers and hackers. Now we pay attention to all our orders and we open every new order by hand to verify some things. If a new order is immediatly paid by Paypal, then we make the same thing as we verify everything. Why do we verify all our orders. Because it's so easy to hack a account and use it with Paypal to order a Hosting package. Once open, a spammer have a real gun and is able to send toons of spams or to do nasty things. So the answer here is no, we don't open every new order immediately.
We have many ways to be paid. We have 2 Bank accounts, where you can make a bank wire, and we have Paypal. Paypal accept most of the credit cards. And no, we don't have any credit card number in our billing system. We let this to Paypal, to manage the security of credit cards.
